The Hallelujah Oratorio Society (HOS), established in 1977, is a dedicated Christian non-profit organization committed to the sacred mission of “Promoting Church Music to Glorify God and Edify Man.” HOS endeavours to elevate the standards of church choirs, foster community engagement in sacred music, and provide enriching educational opportunities and resources that equip the broader Christian community for worship and ministry.

Over the decades, by God’s gracious sustenance and provision, Rev Lee Chong Min’s faithful leadership and distinguished musical expertise have been instrumental in establishing HOS as one of Singapore’s most distinguished Christian choral organizations. Together with conductors Samuel King, John Zhang Tong, Melvin Loy, Music Program Director Dr. Audrey Chung, and the dedicated HOS executive committee, the society oversees five dynamic ministry groups: the Hallelujah Chorus, Hallelujah Singers, Hallelujah Gloria Chorale, Hallelujah Youth Choir, and the Hallelujah Chamber Orchestra. Members come from various Protestant churches across Singapore, ranging in age from as young as seven years old.

哈利路亚圣乐社（HOS）成立于1977年，为非营利基督教团体，宗旨为“促进圣乐，荣神益人”。我们致力于通过提高教会合唱水平，激励信徒参与教会圣乐事奉，及提供培训与资源来推广教会圣乐事工。

圣乐社由音乐总监李忠民牧师带领，团队还包括助理指挥龚久隆老师、张桐老师、黎炳弟兄；音乐项目总监锺晓萦博士、以及HOS执行委员会。至今，圣乐社属下有五个团体，分别为【哈利路亚圣乐团】、【哈利路亚圣歌团】、【哈利路亚荣耀圣咏团】、【哈利路亚青少诗班】 以及【哈利路亚室内管弦乐团】。参与圣乐事奉的团员来自新加坡各个基督教会，最小的年龄仅11岁。

Founding 成立

The origins of Hallelujah Oratorio Society (HOS) can be traced back to 1977, when choir members from the “The Successor” evangelical rally choir formed the Successor Choral Society under the auspices of the Singapore Chinese Christian Union. In 1987, we were renamed “Hallelujah Oratorio Society” (HOS).

1977年，一群参加“接棒人布道大会”联合诗班的弟兄姐妹因深感有需要及负担在新加坡推广与发展圣乐工作，于是成立了“接棒人圣歌团”，附属于新加坡华文基督教联合会。1987年，“接棒人圣歌团”为了巩固原有的基础并深化圣乐事奉的心志，注册并成立了“哈利路亚圣乐团”，其后于2002年再次重组，易名为“哈利路亚圣乐社”。

Music Director & Conductor
音乐总监兼指挥

Under the direction of Rev Lee Chong Min, former music lecturer at the School of Church Music, Singapore Bible College (SBC), artistic director of the International Christian Choral Conductor Society (ICCCS) and various Christian choral groups throughout Asia, HOS has grown into one of Singapore’s most widely acclaimed Christian choral societies. Our repertoire ranges from oratorios, masses, and choral symphonies to contemporary choral anthems.

圣乐社音乐总监由李忠民牧师担任，他曾是新加坡神学院圣乐学院讲师。目前，除了担任「国际基督教合唱指挥团」艺术总监，李牧师同时也是多个亚洲地区之圣乐团音乐总监。在他的领导之下，圣乐社的素质逐渐获得提升，成为一个杰出的圣乐团体。圣乐社的演唱曲目范围广泛，包括神剧、神曲、合唱交响曲以及现代合唱颂赞曲目。

Ministry 事工

Performances 演出/献唱

HOS’s extensive repertoire spans traditional oratorios, masses, and choral symphonies, as well as contemporary choral anthems. Between 2003 and 2014, HOS collaborated extensively with the Singapore Bible College Chorale and the Singapore Symphony Chorus in numerous Singapore Symphony Orchestra concerts conducted by renowned Maestros Lim Yau, Okko Kamu and Lan Shui. Since 2001, Maestro Lim Yau and his Philharmonic Orchestra have regularly joined HOS in concert performances.

圣乐社每年举办音乐会、演唱曲目广泛，包括神剧、神曲、合唱交响曲以及当代合唱创作/颂赞曲等。2003至2014年，圣乐社经常联合新加坡交响合唱团及新加坡神学院圣咏团演唱合唱交响曲，在林曜、奥科·卡姆及水蓝三位指挥大师的棒下学习并受益。自2001年，爱乐管弦乐团也多次参与圣乐社的音乐会演出。

Training 训练

To equip church choirs and conductors with the necessary skills for service in church, HOS strives to cater quality training through small and large scale programs like church music seminars, choir and conducting workshops, evening classes on vocal technique, music theory, sight-singing and aural skills. HOS also regularly collaborates with the International Christian Conductor Society (ICCCS) which includes facilitating workshops on choral singing and choral conducting.

 

 

 

为了帮助教会诗班员及指挥在音乐技巧上逐步获得提升，提高教会圣乐素质，圣乐社举办大小规模训练包括圣乐讲座、合唱与指挥训练、短期音乐课程提供声乐、乐理、视谱、听音方面的训练；与「国际基督教合唱指挥团」联办的训练包括《合唱营》及《指挥营》。

Organisation 组织

2002-2009

HOS started two new choral groups, in addition to Hallelujah Chorus, during its 25th anniversary in 2002. Each of the 3 groups handled different repertoire:

  • Hallelujah Chorus – apart from HOS annual concerts, the group performed oratorio and choral symphony works;
  • Hallelujah Chorale – performed mainly Christian anthems;
  • Hallelujah Singers – up to 30 members selected from Hallelujah Chorus formed a group to perform a wider range of Christian choral pieces.

In 2009, Hallelujah Chorus and Hallelujah Chorale merged and HOS was re-organized to 2 main groups, namely Hallelujah Chorus and Hallelujah Singers, with a total of 100 members.

2002年-2009年

除了原有的【哈利路亚圣乐团】，2002年圣乐社庆祝25周年之际成立了多两个团体。圣乐社属下的三个团体所演唱的曲目分别为：

  • 【哈利路亚圣乐团】以演唱神剧/神曲为主；
  • 【哈利路亚圣咏团】以颂赞曲为主；
  • 【哈利路亚圣歌团】约30人团小组，成员来自【圣乐团】，演唱多类型的基督教合唱 曲目。

2009年，【圣咏团】融入【圣乐团】，圣乐社重整为两个团体–【圣乐团】以及【圣歌团】；团员共100位。

From 2019

The ministry broadened its reach to train more believers with the establishment of 3 new groups. The 5 groups under HOS now consists of:

  • Hallelujah Chorus (since 1977) – members are baptized Christian of ages between 18 and 40 years old (female) and 50 years old (male).
  • Hallelujah Singers (since 2002) – a small group that represents HOS to perform at external invitations and collaborates with churches for Church Music Sunday services.
  • Hallelujah Gloria Chorale [HGC, since 2019] – originally formed by HOS alumni, the group started recruitment of all baptised Christians of age of 40 & above in 2020.
  • Hallelujah Chamber Orchestra [HCO, since 2019] – consists of players of ages between 11 and 25 years old.
  • Hallelujah Youth Choir [HYC, since 2020] – consists of youths of ages between 13 and 21 years old.

基于宗旨，为传递圣乐并让更多信徒受益，圣乐社投入扩展，增加了三个新的团体。至今，圣乐社属下五个团体如下：

  • 【哈利路亚室内管弦乐团】（2019年成立）-团员年龄截于11至25岁;
